The main objective of the RCVA is to capitalize on all the achievements and experience
nces of the UNESCO Avicenna Virtual Campus from then November 2002 to date (17 years of international expertise work, development of new projects and especially the development and enrichment of the concepts of the AVICENNE MODEL.

Based on the experience of projects implemented by UNESCO in more than 49 member countries, we provide adapted solutions for the development of your teaching skills and the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies for ‘Education) to improve the quality of the education you provide.

A methodology for producing quality online courses

– experiences validated in several partner universities in the UNESCO Avicenna network

– UNESCO international standards on the production of online courses

– a quality assurance system for the validation and labeling of online educational content

 

High-level international experts are at your service to support you in the development of your institution and the capacity building of your teachers.

The RCVA also aims, in accordance with the national and international regulations and programs in force, to :

Contribute to the realization of the right to education as stipulated by international agreements and conventions promulgated by the United Nations;;

Provide support for the development and promotion of education in order to achieve the Education for All (EFA) goals as defined in the Millennium Development Program (MDGs) for 2015 and at -of the ;

Support policies and strategies for innovation and improving the quality of education and training at all levels;

Promote through educational programs the universal values based on peace, freedom, equality, solidarity, tolerance, fraternity, diversity and living together;

Encourage culture programs for peace and non-violence;

Develop cooperation, partnership and exchange of experiences at local, regional and international North-South and South-South levels;

Promote specific socio-educational and professional actions and programs aimed at young people and women, in particular;

Strengthen the training capacities of teachers and education personnel;

Contribute to the improvement of programs, didactic innovations and educational devices including Information and Communication Technologies for Education (TICEs);

Provide technical assistance to the establishments, institutions and countries concerned in the aforementioned fields.
